towards the summit
Luzon’s highest peak at 2,926 metres (9,600 ft) above sea level. It is also a dormant volcano. The borders between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya meet at the mountain’s peak. At lower elevations, the mountainside has a mossy forest veiled with fog, and full of ferns lichens and moss. Below this is the pine forest growing on barren, rocky slopes.
